Cancun in the last years has become quite the mecca for upscale restaurants, and since the year 2020, you can now find every type of cuisine in our beach-town. Amongst all these new eateries, Bovinos, a Brazilian rodizio that opened its doors more than ten years ago, still stands out.
With a relatively low price of around $30USD per person, Bovinos restaurant is a great option. This price includes an all you can eat buffet with hundreds of gourmet options and an all-out Pampas style skewer roasted and served variety of meats. Beef, pork, chicken, buffalo and even ostrish are brought to your table straight from the fire, and served thinly sliced onto your plate.
There’s also an option for around $55USD, that includes shrimp, octopus and lobster, but in my opinion, with all the meat you get and all the buffet option, wich also include shrimp, eggs, sushi, and so much more, going for the seafood option is overkill.
The prices (both the meat-only and the seafood choices) do not include drinks nor dessert. Soft drinks are a little on the expensive price, compared to the regular Cancun prices, and the cans are small, but hard drinks including wine by the glass or bottle, are reasonably priced.
The service, both from the bar and at the table is very good, waiters are friendly and knowledgeable and tips are not automatically charged onto your bill (a detestable practice that we’ve encountered in the tourist-only restaurants of Cancun and Playa del Carmen).
For the great quality of its food, the amazing variety and reasonable prices, we give an enthusiastic 5 star review to Bovinos Restaurant in Cancun.
